EMMA is a device designed for home energy storage in systems equipped with PV (photovoltaic) panels. It enables unified scheduling and management of household energy.
EMMA-A02: Supports PV systems, energy storage systems (ESS), smart chargers, and smart loads. In addition to unified home energy scheduling, the EMMA-A02 can connect to smart loads—such as EV chargers, SG Ready heat pumps, and smart switches. Users can set schedules to charge vehicles or heat water at specific, pre-planned times. Furthermore, users can assign priority to the use of PV-generated energy for specific appliances, ensuring the most efficient utilization of solar power.
Huawei EMMA—the Energy Management Assistant—is more than just an algorithm; it is an innovative fusion of software and hardware. It integrates energy generation, comprehensive consumption monitoring, and the communication and control of other devices into a single unit. Leveraging AI-driven analysis, EMMA accurately forecasts household energy demand and intelligently manages the distribution, storage, and export of surplus energy. This optimizes system performance, increases self-consumption, and maximizes financial returns.
Huawei EMMA is an intelligent device that optimizes energy scheduling, management, and flow distribution. This AI-powered energy management system can also be used to intelligently control heating units and heat pumps. Digital inputs and outputs with smart-grid-ready contacts allow for the switching of heat pumps on and off.
Thanks to EMMA technology, grid-connected power control has been enhanced, achieving a response time of 2 seconds. EMMA supports peak shaving, AI-driven scheduling for PV and ESS (Energy Storage Systems), and a "next trip" mode for smart EV chargers. Furthermore, EMMA enables the integration of heat pumps and smart switches, expanding the scope of device management within smart homes. The response time for polling requests from third-party management systems is less than one second, while the response time for data transmission is less than 4.5 seconds.
